On The Shortlist for Photographer of the Year
Posted on 5th March 2019 at 14:49
Photography accolades come from may sources. Of course, it’s wonderful when people post social media comments and admire the photography of someone who’s dedicated many years to earning and now is lucky enough to make a living from the skill.
Sometimes, the accolades are especially appreciated. Such as being dominated by The Daily Telegraph as their candidate for Press Photographer of the Year 2019. Charlotte is incredibly proud to have been nominated and shortlisted alongside some of her colleagues in this year’s awards.
The shortlist is as follows:
Charlotte Graham, The Daily Telegraph
Danny Lawson, Press Association
Hannah McKay, Reuters
Jane Barlow, Press Association
Peter Macdiarmid, London News Pictures
Rowan Griffiths, Daily Mirror
Run by The Society of Editors, the organisation campaigns for the integrity and authority to influence debate on press and broadcasting freedom, ethics and the culture and business of news media.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday the 2nd of April in London. Charlotte’s fellow finalists are all very strong photographers with superb track records in the industry, so whoever wins, you can be sure that they are a worthy winner.
