Yorkshire Air Museum and Remembrance

The Yorkshire Air Museum often calls Charlotte with ideas for newsworthy stories. Her images always carry the impact that’s needed to grab the attention of a busy newspaper editor and additional, the museum’s busy social media channels are always hungry for fresh pictures.
November 2018 was the Centenary of the end of the First World War. The museum created this special poppy display using the majestic Handley Page Halifax World War Two bomber exhibit.
A photo opportunity was a Must Do event. Though it was a cold November day, inside a relatively dark hangar, the combination of the display, the aircraft, Museum re-enactors and Charlotte’s lighting skills all came together to create these high impact pictures.
The resulting images were published in the national and regional press across the UK, gaining valuable exposure for the Museum. Additionally, the images were incredibly popular across the Museum social media networks.
Of course, press coverage can never, ever be guaranteed, as the world’s events all have a bearing on the decisions of editorial teams, though Charlotte always has an idea of what will work for both the clients and the news editors alike.
If you have an interesting event that would benefit from some dynamic photography, Charlotte would always love to hear from you.
